a novel paper about tangerine pruning waste filled biocomposites
26 Jun, 2026

We are delighted to announce the publication of our latest research paper:

"PLA/PBSA Biocomposites Reinforced with Tangerine Tree-Derived Agro-Industrial Waste for Rigid Packaging: Effect of Extraction Treatment on Morphology and Thermo-Mechanical Performance."

This work represents an important milestone in the PLAMINPACK project, demonstrating how agricultural waste can be successfully valorized within a biocircular economy approach

By incorporating tangerine tree-derived agro-industrial residues into biodegradable PLA/PBSA composites, the study explores sustainable solutions for rigid packaging applications while enhancing material performance through tailored extraction treatments.

The publication highlights the potential of transforming agricultural by-products into high-value bio-based materials, contributing to the development of more sustainable packaging technologies and supporting the transition towards a circular bioeconomy.

We are proud of this achievement and grateful to all the researchers and partners whose collaboration made this work possible.
