On October 14, 2025, the city of Pisa hosted the workshop “Ecodriven Materials: Scientific Pathways to Sustainability”, where the latest developments in the PLAMINPACK project were presented, including updates on its objectives and achievements.

The event marked the conclusion of two significant research projects—EXTRAFRESCO and CELLBIORECOMP—both funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR). These initiatives were coordinated by Dr. Laura Aliotta and Dr. Vito Gigante from the University of Pisa (UNIPI), and have contributed valuable insights into sustainable packaging and bio-based materials.
